My study is my most precious luxury.

Even with my children grown and gone, this room is filled with a reverance for writing beyond any other room. In other rooms, I can write. In my study, I must write.

Oh yes! My office is in a corner of the kitchen. When we remodeled, Bill set up another space for me, but it is a pass through spare bedroom. Never a moment of quiet there. So, I sometimes head off with my laptop which gives me floating sacred space. I find a quiet corner.

I’ve done many interviews saying “Could you hold a moment?” Then to the child, “Mommy’s on a business call. Go find Daddy.”

What a beautiful post/article. The way that you tied the need for creative space for the creator to the sheds and spaces profiled in your book. I am proud to call you friend.
